Brookvale Support Group for anyone concerned about a young person’s emotional wellbeing.

The group was created in September 2003 as a partnership between the Brookvale Adolescent Service and Rethink to cover the 14 to 25 age-range that is traditionally broken at 18 by the move between adolescent and adult services.

It is our belief that people from early teenage years to about age 25, and their family members, have very similar needs when they are trying to deal with the experiences and consequences of mental ill-health and emotional problems.

Feel unheard

Together we provide an informal opportunity to talk, support, listen and gain hope for the future.

The group philosophy is that everyone can recovery from emotional upheaval and mental illness and the task seems easier when understood with like-experienced people.

This website will be growing during the next few weeks (and on an ongoing basis) with the addition of a discussion forum and links to useful and relevant local and national information.
